The Explorer is an outstanding truck-based SUV that's very capable, while providing ride and comfort that might surprise you. For those who genuinely like trucks, the Explorer still looks like a good old-fashioned SUV.Gas prices are high, though, and the Explorer's outdoorsy style isn't exactly in fashion these days. A $5,500 rebate will at least pay for about a year-and-a-half worth of gasoline, if that's what's holding you back.
